Seeking an experienced veterinary technician for a small-animal 4-doctor practice in Sherman Oaks. RVT preferred but not required. Must have experience in all aspects of tech work including placing cathethers, blood draws, cysto urine collection, anesthetic dental cleanings, monitoring anesthesia, and so on. Must also be a team-player and able to work well with co-workers and clients.
The successful candidate will be a reliable self-starter who is motivated by a challenging, fast-paced environment. Must have a friendly demeanor towards both pets and people, be very good with animals, good with restraint, be able to calmly handle difficult and fractious animals, have strong attention-to-detail, and be able to multi-task under pressure.
Responsibilities include: client relations, nursing care, examination/assessments, record keeping, anesthesia, surgery, radiology, dentistry, laboratory, pharmacy, and data entry. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
Shifts are 10 hours long, 4 days/week. We are open 7 days a week: Saturdays and Sundays are a must! We offer competitive pay, medical and dental benefits, paid vacation (for F/T) 401(k), uniforms, and pet care discounts.
